Malaysian supermodel Amber Chia has set a new record for the highest altitude fashion runway in Malaysia.
She clinched the honour with her confident and elegant walk at the very top of KL Tower, the seventh tallest tower in the world at 421m.
The historic moment was captured in a video posted by Chia across her social media platforms on May 16.
In the video, the 42-year-old, who was dressed in a striking red Hanfu, can be seen fearlessly walking at the top of the tower, which had no safety railings.
She also wowed passersby as she strolled through the busy streets of Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur.
In a press release, it is noted that Chia had to contend with strong winds atop of KL Tower.
Despite some challenges, Chia successfully completed the shoot.
She wrote on Facebook: "Stepping onto the highest altitude fashion runway in Malaysia, with a stunning skyline as the ultimate backdrop, showcasing the timeless elegance of hanfu!"
Chia's video received praise from various netizens, who lauded the model for her beauty and professionalism.
One user commented: "Elegant, beautiful, gorgeous and awesome. Feel proud of you... really shining like a diamond. A star of Malaysia."
Another asked: "How do you stay so cool? The weather is so hot!"
It is reported that Chia's participation in this daredevil catwalk was to promote a mobile game.
According to the Malaysia Book Of Records, the record for the highest altitude fashion show ever held in Malaysia previously belonged to Tower Fashion Eleganza 2023.
The show was held at the public observation deck (Skydeck) of the KL Tower in September 2023.
Chia's runway was located at least two floors higher.
