Actress Mamie Laverock, best known for playing Rosaleen Sullivan on Hallmark Channel series When Calls The Heart, is reportedly on life support following a devastating fall on Sunday.

The 19-year-old actress plunged five stories from a balcony walkway in an incident that occurred following intensive treatment for a previous medical emergency, Variety reported on Tuesday.

Her family has provided updates through a GoFundMe page, which has raised over US$23,000 in donations as of Tuesday evening.

Mamie’s mother, Nicole Compton, wrote that on May 11, her daughter was first transported to a hospital in Winnipeg due to an undisclosed emergency.

Following initial treatment, Mamie was transferred to a Vancouver hospital for further care and began to show signs of improvement, but then suffered the tragic accident on May 26.

According to the latest update, Mamie was escorted out of a secure hospital unit and fell from a balcony walkway, though the exact details remain unclear.

“She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support,” the family wrote. “We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”

Hallmark Media offered a statement to Variety on Tuesday, saying, “We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Mamie. As a beloved member of our When Calls The Heart community, we wish her and her family peace, comfort, and many prayers during this difficult time.”

Several of Mamie’s colleagues also posted messages of support on social media, encouraging their followers to donate to the GoFundMe page. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
