Indonesian singer Bunga Citra Lestari’s husband, businessman Tiko Aryawardhana, is under investigation for allegedly misappropriating 6.9 billion rupiah (RM1.9mil) from PT Arjuna Advaya.
According to Indonesian news outlet Kompas, Tiko was accused of committing the offense between 2015 and 2021 while serving as the company’s director.
South Jakarta Police’s Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Bintoro, confirmed the report was filed by Tiko's ex-wife Arina Winarto – the founder and shareholder of PT Arjuna Advaya.
In a statement, Arina’s lawyer Leo Serigar said her client lodged the report in 2022 after Tiko failed to explain the discrepancies in the company’s financial records.
“Tiko had full authority over the company and its finances. However, he sought to shut the company down in 2019 due to an inability to pay rent.
“After finding suspicious profit and loss documents, Arina started investigating and found that the documents have been manipulated,” Serigar said.
Tiko and Arina, who share three daughters, married in June 2014 but divorced in October 2021.
He tied the knot with Bunga on Dec 2, 2023.
Bunga was previously married to Malaysian actor Ashraf Sinclair from 2008 until his death in 2020. They have a son together.
