Just a month after hurting his back, Hong Kong artiste Eason Chan has sustained yet another injury.

According to a statement from Chan's manager, the 49-year-old had to receive over 30 stitches on Monday (June 10) after suffering a fractured jawbone and deep cut on his chin.

The Cantopop star sustained the injuries after fainting from a heat stroke while playing tennis that afternoon.

Chan’s manager said the singer needed rest for at least three weeks. Hence, his upcoming shows in Chongqing, China (June 14 to 16 and June 21 to 23) have been postponed to 2025.

“No one could have predicted the accident. He is very unhappy about not being able to go to Chongqing and is afraid of worrying and disappointing fans,” said his manager.

Presently, Chan is in stable condition. His family also visits and takes care of him at the hospital.

Chan’s manager told Hong Kong media that the injury won’t affect his singing, and there should be no visible scars on his chin after recovery.

“Please don’t worry too much and give him time to rest. I believe he will recover soon and meet everyone.”
