Local production house revisits a survivor’s tale 20 years after 2004 tsunami in new documentary

Feisk Productions is embarking on a new documentary that looks back at the devastating tsunami that struck several regions in Asia on Dec 26, 2004.

The documentary titled The Tides Will Decide focuses on one survivor, Priscilla Patrick – a well-known Malaysian radio personality, who was in Sri Lanka when the disaster happened.

Not only will Priscilla be recounting the harrowing event but how the experience has influenced her life and how she moved on from it.

According to the producers, “this documentary will share glimpses of her life, highlighting the individuals who have influenced her, her relationship with God, and how everything came together when the ocean nearly claimed her life”.

In order to complete the documentary, the production house is looking for additional financial support and has invited the public to participate in the making of this documentary through a crowdfunding campaign at https://rewards.mystartr.com/projects/ttwd

Producer Iskander Azizuddin said they aim to raise RM35,000 to produce the documentary, with funds allocated towards pre-production, production, and post-production expenses.

However, if they do not hit their target, no funds will be kept, and contributions will be returned.
