Local singer Datuk Jamal Abdillah, 65, is eager to become a father for the seventh time as his 28-year-old wife, Datin Zai Izzati Khiruddin, is two months pregnant.

This will be their fifth child together.

In a recent interview with Harian Metro, Jamal – whose real name is Jamal Ubaidillah bin Haji Mohd Ali – expressed gratitude for being blessed with another child.

"It's fun to look at kids. They have all sorts of attitudes," said the singer, who was once described as the bad boy of Malaysian pop.

Jamal added that managing younger children at his age was tough, but he has an assistant to help.

"I have an assistant at home to look after the children. I also hire daily or hourly nannies from time to time.

"Their duties are a little different. Some are involved in teaching, and some will play with them and plan their activities," he said.

Jamal, who married for the fourth time with Zai in 2017, has four kids with her – Nur Azura Yamani, four, El Isaac Yamani, three, Iskandar Rayyan Yamani, two, and Rahil Laura Salsabila Yamani, one.

The singer has two other children – Osama Yamani, 23, and Zaki Yamani, 18 – from previous marriages.
