Harith Iskander's wife, Dr Jezamine Lim, files for divorce

Comedian Harith Iskander's wife, Dr Jezamine Lim, has filed for divorce from him at the Syariah Lower Court in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, according to a report by mStar – The Star's Malay-language portal. The case is expected to be heard soon.

While the exact date of her filing is not known, a picture of her in front of the courthouse wearing a robe and headscarf, accompanied by Syariah lawyer, Datuk Akberdien Abdul Kadir has surfaced.

Akberdien has previously represented several popular artistes in their divorce cases.

When contacted Tuesday (July 9), Jezamine told mStar that she had filed for divorce from her husband last month (June)

“Yes, I have filed for divorce. I don’t remember the exact date the application was made, but it was about a month ago,” she said.

When asked to comment on the reason she filed for divorce, she said she was not ready to provide any comments regarding the issue involving her marriage to Harith.

“I have no comments at this time. Maybe I will share later,” she briefly said.

Meanwhile, Harith, 58, who was contacted by mStar for confirmation, chose not to give any response on the matter.

“I have no comments on that matter,” he said.

For the record, Harith and Jezamine, 41, were married on June 12, 2010.

The couple share three children: Zander Xayne, 14, Alessandra Jayne, 11 and Zydane Zayne, nine.
