Hong Kong television host Bob Lam and former TVB actor Oscar Leung recently opened a hotpot restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The restaurant, named The Story Of Wharf, is located at Lot 10 in Jalan Bukit Bintang.

At the official launch on Tuesday (July 16), attended by Hong Kong stars Joel Chan, Philip Keung and Penny Chan, Leung shared that this is first business venture in Malaysia.

The 45-year-old, known for shows like L’Escargot, Tiger Cubs and The Confidant, said he chose to start a business here as the country is like a “second home” to many Hong Kong people.

Meanwhile, Lam described the hotpot restaurant as the place where people can easily encounter Hong Kong stars in Malaysia.

“If you tell the staff you know Bob Lam, you can get unlimited iced water,” the 44-year-old entertainer joked.

Lam also mentioned picking up some Malay during his time in the country.

“For example, terima kasih, nasi lemak, nasi goreng ... I know all of these!” he exclaimed.

Malaysia has indeed become an attractive location for Hong Kong celebrities lately.

Earlier this week, fans spotted TVB actor Bosco Wong and K-pop star Jackson Wang around Klang Valley.

Other stars like Nicholas Tse, Herman Yau and Anita Yuen were also in KL for work last week.
