Malaysian comedian Harith Iskander, 57, and Dr Jezamine Lim, 41, are officially divorced.

The former couple ended their longtime marriage after Harith pronounced the talak before Syarie Judge Siti Noraini Mohd Ali at the Federal Territories Syariah Lower Court on Thursday (July 25) at 12.05pm.

According to syarie lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader, the pair agreed to divorce amicably due to irreconcilable differences.

"The both of them are still on good terms for the sake of their children. There's no problem," he told mStar, The Star's Malay-language news portal.

For the record, Jezamine filed for divorce from Harith on June 25.

The pair, who married on June 12, 2010, share three children, aged between 14 and nine.

Harith previously acknowledged his personal shortcomings as the primary cause of the divorce.

In an interview with The Rakyat Post, the comedian said he was an “idiot” who “acted in ways I should not have”.

“I’m not going to say oh I did this, didn’t do that, I’m not going to come up with any excuses, I have done stupid things that many men do and you would think I would know better at my age,” he added.
