Hong Kong actor Michael Miu recently arrived in Malaysia to film his new drama, Fearless, and has been making the most of his time here.

Accompanying him on this trip is his wife of 34 years, Hong Kong actress Jaime Chik, 62.

Photos posted on social media recently show the loving couple, dressed in matching outfits, spending time together in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

One snapshot also showed Miu holding onto Chik’s arm as they crossed the street.

Miu and Chik started dating after meeting on the set of the TVB drama, You Only Live Twice (1982) but broke up a year later.

According to China Press, the couple used to have a tumultuous relationship in the past and would often argue due to clashing personalities.

“We often argued and many didn’t believe in our relationship. Because of this, I was determined to win her over.

“Our dating period then really felt like an eight-year war of resistance,” Miu shared in a past interview with Hong Kong media.

Despite their constant quarrels, Miu would always take the initiative to reconcile with Chik.

“The phrase ‘take a step back and the sea and sky will be boundless’ has been ingrained in my mind since we began dating, and I often use it.

“Thankfully, Jaime’s temper disappears just as quickly as it flares. She’s easy to appease,” the 66-year-old said at the time.

Miu and Chik tied the knot in 1990. They have a daughter, Phoebe, and a son, Murphy, both of whom reside in Vancouver, Canada.
