Pax Jolie-Pitt, son of Angelina and Brad, was hospitalized Monday after an apparent head injury sustained in an accident on his e-bike during rush hour in Los Angeles.

The actor and photographer, 20, is in stable condition after concern he suffered a minor brain bleed and hip pain, law enforcement sources told TMZ. He was treated at an area hospital.

Jolie-Pitt was not wearing a helmet when he drove his bike into the back of a vehicle stopped at an intersection on Los Feliz Boulevard at around 5pm local time, according to the outlet.

While sources suggested he could be discharged Monday night, it’s unclear if that has since happened.

Though California law does not require helmets for all three classes of electric bicycles, the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles does mandate helmets be worn by operators of Class 3 e-bikes.

Jolie-Pitt has worked on multiple films involving his Oscar winning mother’s films, including an uncredited role in Maleficent and voicing the character Yoo in Kung Fu Panda 3. He was also credited as a still photographer in her most recent directorial effort, 2017’s First They Killed My Father.

The Girl, Interrupted star, 49, adopted Jolie-Pitt in 2007 from an orphanage outside Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City and Pitt, 60, formally adopted him the following year.

Jolie-Pitt is the fourth of the former couple’s six children, who also include Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, as well as 16-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

Shiloh, Maddox and Zahara have all dropped their Academy Award-winning dad’s surname from their own of late.

Earlier this month, Jolie called on Pitt to drop his lawsuit against her, concerning their French winery, Chateau Miraval. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
