Nick Cannon believes he and ex-wife Mariah Carey “belong together,” even though he’s welcomed 10 kids with five different women since their 2014 split.
The Wild ‘N Out host and creator, 43, told E! News last week that he would “absolutely” get back together with the Grammy winner, 55, who he wed in 2008
“We belong together,” Cannon said, invoking Carey’s 2005 single of the same name, adding it would “be stupid if I wouldn’t” get back together with her.
A reconciliation is likely just a sweet, sweet fantasy for Cannon, though, who admitted “She don’t want me.”
“Yeah, you done left and had like 10 kids,” said Cannon’s We Playin’ Spades co-host Courtney Bee.
“A whole baseball team,” agreed Cannon, who has long held a candle for his ex-wife. “Like, ‘No, you can’t come back home.'”
Last September, Cannon, who suffers from lupus, credited Carey with having saved his life, telling the Diary Of A CEO podcast that he “probably wouldn’t even be alive if it wasn’t for how hard (Carey) went with the doctors.”
Cannon and Carey wed in May 2008, following a whirlwind courtship that spanned less than two months. They announced their split in 2014 and finalized the divorce two years later. During their six-year marriage, the couple welcomed twins Monroe and Moroccan, 13.
He also shares sons Golden, 7, and Rise, 1, as well as daughter Powerful, 3, with model Brittany Bell. He and photographer LaNisha Cole share daughter Onyx, turning 2 next month.
Cannon and radio personality Abby De La Rosa are parents to three-year-old twins Zion and Zillion, and in November 2022 welcomed daughter Beautiful.
The following month, he and model Alyssa Scott welcomed daughter Halo, a year after the death of their 5-month old son, Zen. Cannon is also dad to son Legendary, 2, through Bri Tiesi.
