Hong Kong actress Teresa Mo is happy that her eldest daughter, Jannie, 28, has tied the knot with her boyfriend, Andrew.

In an Instagram post on Monday (Aug 12), Mo shared four pictures from the wedding – including one of her daughter walking down the aisle and another with Andrew’s family.

Jannie stunned in a simple, low-cut white gown, while Andrew looked dashing in a black suit.

“My daughter begins a new chapter in life, surrounded and protected by boundless love! I am nothing but grateful,” the 63-year-old captioned her post.

HK01 reported that the intimate and joyful ceremony was held in the United States, attended by close friends and family.

Many Hong Kong celebrities such as Sammi Cheng, Kay Tse, Louis Cheung, and Benjamin Yuen have also extended their congratulations to Mo and her daughter on this special occasion.

According to reports, Mo once expressed her reluctance to let her daughter go in a past interview with Hong Kong media.

The actress said at the time: "What makes me sad is not her marriage but the fact that she will settle far away in the US in the future. I feel sad whenever I think about her living there for a long time.

"I hope she will come back to Hong Kong more often, and I can go to see her."

Mo, known for her performance in the 1989 film The Justice Of Life, is married to Hong Kong director Tony Au.

The couple share two daughters – Jannie and Jill, 23.
