Taiwanese singer-actor Gino Tsai recently recounted a spine-chilling experience during his stay in a hotel in Malaysia.

In a recent YouTube video, Tsai revealed that the terrifying incident occurred after one of his shows in the country but didn’t specify the exact state in which the event took place.

As the story goes, Tsai was taking a shower late at night when he heard persistent knocks on his door.

“I was about to start scolding when I realised that the knocking was on my bathroom door,” the 44-year-old recounted.

When he pulled back the shower curtain, Tsai found the bathroom door ajar and the doormat at the entrance messed up.

“I had a gut feeling and looked to my left. Do you know what I saw? A shadowy figure was right there, mimicking my every move.

“I was certain it was a person. I stared at it, and it stared back at me,” said the former leader of the Taiwanese boy band K One.

Terrified, Tsai ran to the hotel lobby, wrapped in only a towel, and asked for help from the front desk.

The staff then offered to change rooms. However, Tsai insisted on spending the night with his manager as he was too frightened.

The next day, Tsai learned from the hotel owner that a grisly murder took place in that very room where he saw the shadowy figure.

According to the owner, a man had strangled his girlfriend to death in that room and hid her head in the bathroom ceiling.

“That was the bathroom I was in! If I returned to the room again, I don’t know what I would have seen... maybe a headless person!” Tsai exclaimed.

In the comments section, many viewers said they were left spooked by Tsai’s story while others praised him for his storytelling skills.

“Gino! The real No.1 ghost story teller! I was so impressed,” one netizen commented.

“Gino’s story is something that will always stick in my mind. It’s so scary,” another said.
