Chinese singer Huang Zitao, a former member of the K-pop boy group Exo, has announced his engagement to fellow singer Xu Yiyang.

In the latest episode of the reality show, Dare Or Not, an emotional Huang poured his heart out to Xu, expressing how much she means to him before bursting into tears.

The couple, who are both contestants on the show, publicly admitted their relationship in July after four years of dating rumours.

“From when we first met until this moment, from the start of our journey, everything had already been decided.

“You are the one who will be with me until the end. My entire life, this lifetime, every day, every moment, every night, I want that person to be you.

“So, this is my last challenge on the show. I dare to marry you, do you dare to accept?” the 31-year-old asked Xu, as quoted by the Korean entertainment portal Koreaboo.

Xu, 26, then responded with “I dare” before kissing Huang, leaving everyone present swooning.

Then Huang surprised Xu with a fairy-tale-like proposal filled with a sea of flowers.

A clip of the heart-touching moment has since gone viral on social media, with many fans sending their well wishes.

“Invite us when you get married, OK?” one netizen commented.

Another said: “Now it’s time for you to start a new chapter in your life, and I wish all the best things for the best couple of this year.”
