Popular Norwegian DJ and producer Alan Walker will be performing in Kuala Lumpur on Nov 8.

The upcoming show is set to take place at KL Base in Sungai Besi.

This comes after Walker postponed his June 22 show a day before it was set to take place due to “unforeseen, unexpected and very unfortunate circumstances” that were out of his control.

At the time, many fans were left disappointed at the last minute announcement as they had already travelled from abroad and forked out money on accommodation just to see him. Some were also scrambling for refunds.

In a statement on Thursday (Sept 12), Walker's team said the decision to postpone was made after they were alerted of several critical safety concerns and mismanagement.

They added that they wanted to prioritise the safety of fans and avoid further financial losses experienced by local vendors.

“A safety report, conducted by an independent third party, highlighted significant problems with the stage setup. Local vendors were experiencing payment issues,” the statement read.

Walker’s team said it was “devastating” for the 27-year-old to postpone his show, as he has a deep commitment to his connection with his fans.

Hence, the musician will be personally funding his upcoming concert, Walkerworld Asia Tour Pt.II, to ensure the Malaysian concert takes place and local vendors are compensated.

“From the bottom of my heart, I want Malaysians to know they are valued and respected. If others fail to treat them right, I will be there to ensure they are.

“This isn’t just a concert – it’s a promise fulfilled, a bond strengthened, and a gesture of genuine love from me as an artiste who truly cares for their fans,” Walker said.

Walker is best known for hits such as Faded, Darkside and Alone. He has also collaborated with big names like Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Sia and more.

Tickets to Walker’s upcoming KL show are available at www.all-access.io/walkerworldmy.

Existing ticket holders of the previous show do not need to purchase new tickets but exchange them instead.

Existing VIP and Cat 1 ticket holders will be offered designated fast-track entry to enjoy a premium spot at the new show.
