Puteri Sarah does not view the divorce of her ex-husband, Syamsul Yusof, and Ira Kazar as a victory for her.
The 38-year-old said that what happened was fated, and has nothing to do with her.
"This is all fated... I don’t see what happened as a personal win ... I have nothing to do with their 'story'," she told mStar, The Star's Malay-language portal.
Puteri Sarah said this when met at the press conference for the Muzikal Lawak Superstar programme held in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday (Sept 11).
Furthermore, she asked the public to stop associating her name with Syamsul.
The actress mentioned that she is now happy with her life, focusing on her career and her children.
"I don’t want to comment much. Don’t link me to them anymore, that’s their problem.
"It’s been over a year, I’ve long forgotten that story and moved on with my life," she said.
She said this in response to some netizens commenting that the failure of Syamsul and Ira's marriage was karma for their past actions towards Puteri Sarah.
Syamsul and Ira officially divorced on Sept 5, less than two years after getting married.
At the time of his marriage to Ira (Jan 6, 2023), Syamsul was still legally married to Puteri Sarah.
Syamsul and Puteri Sarah, who share two children, divorced on June 14, 2023.
