Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming has ended the speculation about his love life.

The 46-year-old took to Chinese social media platform Weibo on Sept 19 to confirm that he is in a relationship with Chinese influencer Ye Ke, 32.

He wrote: “Stop guessing, everyone. We are together.”

Ye was initially not tagged in the post, but Huang did so after netizens asked him who he was referring to.

Ye shared his post more than 20 minutes later, adding a red heart emoji.

Huang’s love life has been gossip fodder since he ended his seven-year marriage with Hong Kong actress Angelababy, 35, in January 2022. They have a seven-year-old son, who is nicknamed Little Sponge.

Huang and Ye were subsequently spotted together regularly, but the dating rumours were neither confirmed nor denied by the couple.

Speculation reached fever pitch on Sept 17 when he shared a photo of himself celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with his parents and Little Sponge, whose face was covered by an emoji.

Several netizens asked if the photo was taken by Ye, with her good friend replying that Huang and Ye have tied the knot.

Meanwhile, Ye shared a photo of a diamond ring on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, on the same day, sparking talk that she has met Huang’s family and marriage is on the cards. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
