Mui Kai Ming, the brother of late Hong Kong superstar Anita Mui, has been slammed by his Malaysian wife Joey for allegedly neglecting their son and having an affair.

Reports indicate that Kai Ming, 72, provides a monthly allowance of HK$3,000 (RM1,655) to Joey and their teenage son Richard, who both reside in Malaysia.

In a statement on Oct 12, however, Joey accused Kai Ming of being “shameless” and failing to support them.

“Can you really provide proof that you sent your entire salary to Malaysia to support your wife and child?

“You say you’re withholding proof to spare me some dignity, but let me tell you, I don’t need (you) to save face for me.

“What you’ve done is utterly shameless. Have you ever thought about how your son feels?” she lamented.

Joey added that when she brought their son to visit Kai Ming in Hong Kong last year, they encountered a No.10 hurricane signal, and Richard had caught a fever.

Despite calling Kai Ming for help several times, the latter allegedly refused to answer.

“You told him that your (mistress) wouldn’t like you talking to him. What you did truly broke your son’s heart,” she said.

Joey then proceeded to slam Kai Ming for lying about them being separated.

Earlier this month, Kai Ming announced his plans to marry his Thai girlfriend May May and said he had already divorced Joey, who’s 16 years his junior.

However, Joey claimed that she and Kai Ming never divorced.

In her statement, Joey said Kai Ming wrote an apology letter to her, their son and his mother after being exposed for having an affair with another woman a few years ago.

“(You) claimed to have cut all contact with her and said she had returned to Thailand,” she said.

Joey also called Kai Ming a “scumbag” who’s incapable of having any emotions.

“From the moment my son saw him holding hands (with someone else) in 2021, he’s been upset until today.

“Whatever I say to Kai Ming, he doesn’t react. I once told him our son was no longer in school due to financial issues, but he didn’t show any emotions.

“He’s truly the scumbag of all scumbags,” she said.
