Gwyneth Paltrow and Timothee Chalamet were snapped smooching last week (Oct 16) on the New York City set of their new film, Marty Supreme.

Multiple photos show the Oscar-nominated Call Me By Your Name star, 28, and Paltrow, 52, in the throes of passion as they kiss against a brick wall for a scene in Josh Safdie’s sports period piece, loosely based on ping-pong pro Marty Reisman.

Chalamet was seen sporting a 1950s-style oversized suit and tie, faint mustache and glasses while Paltrow donned a floor-length red evening gown and black opera gloves.

Back in July, it was reported that Chalamet was in final talks to join his fellow New York native Safdie’s film, co-written by the filmmaker and longtime collaborator Ronald Bronstein.

The movie marks Safdie’s second solo directorial project following 2008’s The Pleasure Of Being Robbed, though his most notable film remains the 2019 Adam Sandler dark comedy, Uncut Gems, directed alongside brother Benny.

In addition to being known for some eccentricities, ping-pong star Reisman won nearly two dozen major table tennis titles from 1946 to 2002.

The 1958 and 1960 US singles men’s ping-pong championships were among those wins, as well as a historic National Hardbat Championship victory in 1997. The latter made Reisman, then 67, the oldest player to win a national championship in a racket sport.

Reisman, who died in 2012 at age 82, also had a career as one-half of the Harlem Globetrotters’ opening act, alongside Doug Cartland, and – unlike his table tennis legacy – a more hit-and-miss history with gambling.

Marty Supreme, which also stars Odessa A’zion, Tyler the Creator and Fran Drescher, marks Paltrow’s first return to the big screen since her recurring role as Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She was last seen in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
