Taiwanese singer Ella Chen of the girl group S.H.E has indeed come a long way since making her showbiz debut in 2001.

At the outset of her career, the 43-year-old, together with fellow bandmates Selina Jen and Hebe Tian, lived in a small apartment.

Today, Chen owns not just one but multiple luxury properties.

According to Taiwan’s Mirror Weekly, the singer forked out NT$230mil (RM31.3mil) in 2022 to purchase a luxurious condominium unit in the Neihu district, which boasts stunning lake views.

Her latest property acquisition adds onto her already remarkable real estate portfolio.

In 2012, Chen moved into a multi-million dollar apartment in Neihu with her husband, Malaysian businessman Alvin Lai, and their seven-year-old son Jin Bao. She gave fans a virtual tour of her home on social media in 2020.

Additionally, the singer owns two other properties in Taiwan – a stunning apartment near Bihu Park valued at NT$200mil (RM27.2mil) and a townhouse worth NT$100mil (RM13.6mil).

In 2021, Chen was named the highest-paid female artiste in Taiwan, with earnings estimated at NT$100mil, thanks to multiple brand deals and performances.

She emerged as the champion of the fourth season of the Chinese reality show Sisters Who Make Waves in 2023 and was in Malaysia earlier in August for her Genting Highlands concert.
