Actor Danny X-Factor admits he enjoys and feels no shame in continuing his job as an ehailing driver.

So much so, he’s willing to start his shift as early as 4am.

The 44-year-old, whose real name is Mohd Khardanie Anwa, says he’s continuing this career as he doesn't want to burden his family to the point of having to ask his wife for money.

In fact, Danny adds that he considers driving for ehailing to be more satisfying and worthwhile than work related to the entertainment industry.

In an interview with mStar, The Star’s Malay-language portal, he shared: "I find it enjoyable and rewarding. When working in production, the payment is substantial, but once you get paid, it's gone quickly.

“With Grab, I have money every day to pay all the bills.

"I leave the house at 4am and return before Maghrib (prayer just after sunset). I actually prefer driving for Grab over being involved in (showbiz) productions.

"That way, I don’t need to ask my wife for money.

“In my opinion, finances are one of the main causes of relationship issues for artistes these days.

“My wife even says that if I go out (to work) and make RM50, that's enough. Every wife wants to see her husband working."

Danny said this at the launch of the Unifi TV Originals drama Sebelum Titik Noktah on Thursday (Nov 7).

The actor explained that he never considered quitting his job as an ehailing driver, as it has become a steady source of income.

Even if he is involved in production work, Danny shared that he will still find time to drive for Grab.

Danny has been driving for Grab since 2017, but only three days a week, as his wife is a flight attendant. When she’s working, he takes care of their children, and when she’s home, he drives for Grab.

The drama Sebelum Titik Noktah is premiering Nov 11, airing every Monday at 11pm on Unifi TV Ch 20. It also stars Aiman Hakim Ridza, Puteri Balqish, Noki, Shabby, Mathni Razak and Alif Muhaimin.
