Blondes have more fun?

Just ask Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh who made heads turn at the Hollywood premiere of Wicked last weekend with a blonde bob.

Her wig was created by celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora, who has worked with stars such as Selena Gomez, Sofia Vergara and Angelina Jolie.

Yeoh exuded old Hollywood glamour in a black Balenciaga dress, complete with a long train, and Bulgari jewellery.

At the red carpet, her co-stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Jeff Goldblum were thrilled to see Yeoh's brand new look.

Grande spotted Yeoh first and put her hand over her mouth and excitedly exclaimed, “Michelle!”

Celebrities and fans have heaped compliments on Yeoh's blonde transformation on her social media.

"You absolutely killed it," said one fan on Instagram.

"The hair, the pose, the dress, the person! Everything is perfection," added another.

The Oscar winner plays Madame Morrible in the musical which opens in Malaysia next week.

Prior to accepting the role, Yeoh said she didn't know much about the Broadway musical. So, when director Jon M Chu pitched the idea to Yeoh, the actress was oblivious.

"At that point (I) had no clue what he was talking about because I had not seen Wicked the musical before.

"I knew Wizard Of Oz, who doesn’t, but not Wicked because I hadn’t been going to the theatres and not doing what I love which is watching musicals, for quite a while I hate to say," Yeoh, 62, told The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet on Nov 9.
