South Korean actress Son Ye-jin may be busy filming her latest movie, but she took time out to celebrate her son’s second birthday.

The 42-year-old posted on social media on Nov 29 a photo of a birthday cake, with a caption of nine heart emojis and the South Korean children’s song, The Three Bears, playing in the background.

Actress Song Yoon-ah and Son’s good friend commented: “Wow, it’s your baby’s birthday. He is already so handsome and cool. Stay healthy.”

Son tied the knot with South Korean actor Hyun Bin, 42, her co-star in the hit romantic drama Crash Landing On You (2019 to 2020), in Seoul on March 31, 2022.

She gave birth to their son on Nov 27 in the same year.

The actress has always protected her son’s identity on social media, though she has posted photos of his feet or hands.

Son is filming the suspense thriller No Other Choice, which is directed by famed South Korean film-maker Park Chan-wook and also stars actor Lee Byung-hun.

Hyun made the news on Nov 23 after Son disclosed on social media that he sent a food truck in their son’s name to her film set, with the truck decorated with photos of her from Crash Landing On You.

No Other Choice marks Son’s first project since the TV series Thirty-Nine (2022), which also starred actresses Jeon Mi-do and Kim Ji-hyun. It will also be her first movie since crime thriller The Negotiation (2018), which also starred Hyun. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
