South Korean actor Park Min-jae dies at 32 from cardiac arrest

South Korean actor Park Min-jae has died. He was 32.

According to reports, Park suffered from a cardiac arrest while travelling in China and died on Nov 29. He had no other known underlying medical conditions.

On Monday (Dec 2), Park’s younger brother shared details of the funeral service, which will take place on Wednesday at Ewha Seoul Hospital funeral hall.

“Our beloved brother has gone to rest peacefully. We hope as many people as possible can come to see him off,” the late actor’s brother said, as translated by Korean entertainment portal Soompi.

Park’s agency Big Title also confirmed his passing in a statement, describing him as “a talented actor who loved acting and always gave his best”.

“Although we can no longer watch his performances, we will proudly remember him as a valued actor of Big Title. May he rest in peace,” the agency stated, as translated by Soompi.

Park rose to popularity after starring in the 2021 drama Idol: The Coup.

Other shows he has worked on include Little Women, Numbers and Snap And Spark, with the latter being his final project.
