Popular pianist Maksim to hold concert in KL on Feb 12

Renowned classical crossover pianist Maksim Mrvica, popularly known as Maksim, will be returning to Kuala Lumpur with a pre-Valentine’s Day performance on Feb 12.

Set to take place at Mega Star Arena, Maksim World Tour: Segmenti will see the Croatian musician performing a blend of originals and variations from his latest album Segmenti.

Fans can expect unique interpretations of hits by Abba and Queen, alongside timeless classical masterpieces by Chopin, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky.

Maksim, 49, last performed in Malaysia on Valentine’s Day last year.

Known for his ability to play up to 16 notes per second, Maksim, 49, has captivated audiences with works such as Croatian Rhapsody, Flight Of The Bumblebee and themes from Pirates Of The Caribbean, Game Of Thrones and Mission Impossible.

He started playing the piano at the age of nine and received classical training at the Zagreb Academy of Music in Croatia, the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary and the Russian Conservatory Alexander Scriabin in France.
