Fans of K-pop star Lisa got a closer look at her mysterious character in The White Lotus 3 when the official teaser for the award-winning American drama series was released on Dec 17.

Like in an earlier trailer in November announcing HBO Max’s 2025 shows, the Thai singer from K-pop girl group Blackpink is first seen as a beaming uniformed hotel staff member who greets guests with a chirpy: “Sawasdee ka. Welcome to The White Lotus in Thailand, ka.”

Later on in the new clip, the 27-year-old appears in a more seductive manner, donning a traditional Thai costume and performing a dance at what looks like a night-time bonfire celebration. The accompanying text reads: “If everybody gives into their base instincts, it’d be total depravity.”

Lisa also posted the video on Instagram, writing, “Introducing Mook”, referring to the name of her character. Information about her role has been kept under wraps.

It was announced in February that Lisa will make her acting debut under her full name, Lalisa Manobal, in the series, which focuses on deadly intrigue at the fictional The White Lotus resort chain. The first two seasons were set in Hawaii and Sicily.

The other cast members include Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan and Parker Posey.

The eight-episode third season, premiering on Max and HBO on Feb 17, was produced in Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok. It will follow a new group of guests at another The White Lotus property.

Lisa’s agency Lloud announced in November that she will be releasing her debut studio album, Alter Ego, on Feb 28. The artiste has dropped singles Rockstar, New Woman and Moonlit Floor since June. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
