Hong Kong artiste Jeannie Ng Ka-yan has announced her breakup with billionaire heir Justin Ma, just nine months after making their relationship public.

The 26-year-old singer shared the news in an Instagram Story on Dec 22, urging everyone to respect her need for space.

“I will not respond further on the matter. Thank you for your concern,” she wrote.

Ng and Justin Ma, the son of Tai Sang Lan Dev Ltd CEO William Ma, went public in March following the singer’s split from actor Locker Lam.

She revealed at the time that they had been together since half a year ago, adding: “He’s a very good man who’s attentive, kind and supportive.”

Rumours about the pair's relationship troubles surfaced last month when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Justin’s mother, socialite Fanny Hsieh, had deleted a photo of herself with Ng from Instagram.

Additionally, Ng also refrained from talking about both Justin and Hsieh when interviewed by the media.

Ng made her solo debut in 2021 and has since released songs like Not Too Close, Hell No, Last Letter and Midnight Serenade.

She is also known for appearing on the ViuTV drama You Only Live Once.
