Have a friend coming to Singapore who wants to know where to go?

Perhaps ask them to check out South Korean actress Lee Si-young’s itinerary. The 42-year-old Sweet Home (2020 to 2024) star has been uploading pictures and clips of her vacation with her six-year-old son over the past week, starting with photos of their flight to Singapore on Dec 18.

The actress said she wanted to visit somewhere warm since South Korea is in the middle of winter and added her son, Jeong-yoon, had picked out all the spots he wanted to go to. Lee is married to a restaurant entrepreneur, though he was not seen in the photos of their holiday.

On the trip, Lee visited popular tourist spots like Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands and Universal Studios Singapore.

She sang the praises of the Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay and its daily Garden Rhapsody music and light show. “I knew it would be good, but now that I’m here, it’s 100 times better. If you come to Singapore, be sure to visit,” she told her followers in a post.

She went cycling around the city with her son, and they took a ride on an open-air double-decker bus. They went to a restaurant next to the Singapore River, and enjoyed live music at Le Noir, a waterfront bar at Marina Bay Sands.

Lee gave the thumbs up to Hotel Fort Canning, which she said she stayed at for two days, and the surrounding Fort Canning Park.

Her son’s favourite activity seemed to be a trip to Universal Studios Singapore, their first visit to a Universal Studios theme park.

She said it was fun and exciting, even though both she and her son are scared of theme park rides. “We were scared no matter what we rode,” she wrote, and posted several clips and photos of them looking terrified on a rollercoaster ride.

But she enjoyed WaterWorld, a live water show at the theme park which recreates stunt effects from Hollywood movies.

“It’s my first time seeing WaterWorld and it’s so much fun,” she said. “It was a trip meant for Jeong-yoon but I think I had even more fun than he did.” – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
