Singapore singer Stefanie Sun has admitted to feeling some pressure while preparing for her upcoming world tour, Aut Nihilo Sun Yanzi In Concert.
“I am welcoming 2025 with wide open arms,” the 46-year-old wrote in Chinese and English on social media on Dec 31, posting a series of photos of her life in 2024, such as learning to bake, going to the laundromat and spending time with her children.
The Mandopop queen has a 12-year-old son and a six-year-old daughter with her husband Nadim van der Ros.
“Yes, I will withdraw more into myself to prep for the payback for Aut Nihilo Concert, but I cannot wait to see you all again,” Sun continued.
“I have faith that one day, all the good and the bad, will only become good as it makes its way through our lives. Relief that it wasn’t worse, and gratitude for wisdom gained.”
Sun confirmed in October that she will kick off her concert tour, her first in a decade, in Singapore on April 5 and 6. The new tour coincides with her 25th year in show business.
Tickets to her two shows at the Singapore Indoor Stadium sold out so fast that another two shows were added at the same venue on April 12 and 13, which have since sold out too.
Other stops announced were Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Nanjing, Chongqing, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia, with more venues to be unveiled.
“I can’t wait to celebrate all these moments that eventually become part of who we are,” Sun said. “Stay fearless and proud. See you all very, very soon.”
The singer, known for her hits such as My Desired Happiness (2000), Green Light (2001) and Encounter (2003), added in the postscript: “Yes, concert prep is v stressful.” – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
