K-pop girl group Blackpink’s Jisoo is set to return with a new release, almost two years after her solo debut.

Her agency, Blissoo Entertainment, said on Jan 14 that the 30-year-old will put out her new work on Feb 14, or Valentine’s Day.

Her debut single, Flower, was included in the two-track EP Me, which was released in March 2023. More information, including the title of her second release, will be announced later.

The upcoming work will be Jisoo’s first under Blissoo, the independent label she founded.

Blackpink members – which also comprise Jennie, Rose and Lisa – parted ways with YG Entertainment in December 2023 for their solo endeavours.

Blackpink, who are still signed to the agency, are gearing up for a full-group comeback in the second half of 2025.

Rose, 27, was the first member to release a solo studio album, having put out Rosie on Dec 6. Lisa, 27, is set to release Alter Ego on Feb 28, while Jennie, 28, will drop her first solo album in 2025.

Jisoo, who starred in K-drama Snowdrop (2021 to 2022) with actor Jung Hae-in, is also furthering her acting career. She will star in zombie apocalypse series Newtopia, set to premiere on Feb 7. – The Korea Herald/Asia News Network
