Following his wife’s arrest for allegedly attempting to hire a hitman to kill him, Aaron Goodwin is moving forward to kill their marriage.

The Ghost Adventures star filed for divorce in Clark County, Nevada on March 12, Us Weekly first reported.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Goodwin is seeking to have his single status restored, maintain his separate property and have their community assets equally divided, though he wants to be reimbursed for the cost of those assets, according to the outlet. He’s also requested that neither party be awarded alimony.

Victoria Goodwin was arrested on March 6 after authorities uncovered that she’d been communicating with a Florida inmate and offered to pay him to murder her husband.

The inmate, identified as Grant Amato, has been serving a life sentence after being convicted of first-degree murder in 2019 for the fatal shootings of his father, mother and brother at their suburban Orlando home.

In 2024, Amato became the subject of the Paramount+ true-crime series Ctrl+Alt+Desire.

Authorities allege Victoria first learned of Amato from the docuseries and began writing to him behind bars. Investigators said she eventually revealed her marital problems and desire to “end (her husband’s) existence.”

The communications were discovered after corrections officers confiscated a contraband cellphone that Amato smuggled into prison. The alleged murder plot was never carried out.

Victoria, 32, has been charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. She has denied plotting to have her husband killed. She reportedly remains in custody on US$100,000 bail.

Along with filing divorce documents, Aaron is also seeking court-ordered protection against his wife. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
