Solange Knowles’ 21-year-old son, model Daniel “Julez” J. Smith Jr, fuelled speculation he’s dating former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Tommie Lee, two decades his senior.
Smith was carrying the barefoot VH1 alum, 41, on his back, which the former dubbed “the type of s–t you do when you like somebody” in a video reportedly posted to Lee’s Snapchat Story Sunday (March 22), and published the following day by The Shade Room. Lee then calls Smith “my baby.”
Lee – born Atasha Jefferson – calls Smith “so fine,” to which he says, “It’s hard to be fine when you got somebody on your back.” Lee laughs and insists that he’s “still fine.”
In another clip, which features a contortionist showing off their particular brand of flexibility, Smith can be heard asking whether Lee “can do that.” She says she can, asking, “That look good to you,” before appearing to lean in for a kiss.
Lee, who stars on several iterations of the Zeus Network’s Baddies franchise – added in the caption, “Sure can and Better.”
While neither party appears to have directly commented on the presumed romance, Lee on Monday did seem to respond to critics of the connection when she shared an AI-generated video of the Chuckie doll dancing, which reads, “When he’s seen all my personalities and still said ‘yeah that’s the one.”
Earlier Tuesday, Smith posted several photos of himself to his Instagram Story, including one captioned, Just Me And Me Only. It’s unclear whether that alluded to his relationship status.
Lee revealed on Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta – on which she starred from 2016 to 2019 – that she’d been arrested nearly 30 times, including many linked to violating probation.
In 2019, she faced over half a century behind bars when she was indicted on seven charges including aggravated assault, child cruelty, battery, aggravated stalking, and disrupting a public school, according to TMZ and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Three of the charges – all of which stemmed from an alleged assault on her young daughter – were felonies. She ultimately pleaded guilty to avoid jail time.
Complex reports that Lee has six kids, though she appears to have only talked publicly about her two daughters. Her eldest – estimated to be about 22 – was born while Lee was incarcerated. Lee also reportedly has a 5-year-old granddaughter.
Beyonce’s nephew, Smith, is the only child of 39-year-old Solange and ex-husband Daniel Smith.
