Starchild: Young Malaysians send their letters to our Prime Minister

Jayden Tan Li Sheng, 10

Recently, Starchild asked readers to submit their letters to our new Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Children were invited to tell our newly elected Prime Minister their hopes and dreams for Malaysia. Let’s hear what they have to say.

“I would like our leaders to take care of our national schools. A new coat of paint for the classroom and cleaner toilets would be nice. This will enhance our learning experience in school,” says Bethany Wang Qi Syuen, seven.

Younger sibling Asher Wang Qi Chuen, five, wants our leader to look into Malaysia’s waste management. “It’s important that our rubbish is collected regularly, disposed of properly and recyclable items are sorted to keep our country clean and green.”

“I wish Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his ministers can install air conditioning in Malaysian schools. Having air conditioning in our classrooms can cool us down during the hot weather in our country. Lastly, I hope our leader will set a new school curriculum incorporating fun and interactive teaching methods. A good school can produce successful leaders,” writes Feivul Lee, nine.

“Leaders are not only important people. They also represent their countries. I hope our new leader will implement a compulsory rule for all classrooms in the school to be fully air-conditioned. Shorter lessons can help lessen students’ stress,” writes nine-year-old Lim Sheng Hao.
