Dharma teachings by a chief abbot


HIS Holiness Trulku Jigme Choeda, the 70th Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot of the Central Monastic Body) of Bhutan, will give his first Dharma teachings today during The Journey Of Dharma event held at the Malaysian International Exhibition and Convention Centre, The Mines (MIECC), in Seri Kembangan, Selangor.

This is Je Khenpo’s first visit to Malaysia. He is the leader of the southern branch of the Drukpa Kagyu sect, which is part of the Kagyu tradition of Himalayan Buddhism. He is also viewed as the closest and most powerful advisor to the King of Bhutan.
