THE blue plaque above is outside 23 Brook Street where musician Jimi Hendrix briefly lived in the attic of the Georgian townhouse in London. A £1.2mil (RM6.5mil) grant has allowed The Heritage Lottery Fund to recreate the interior of the flat that soon will become a permanent museum. The rock star rented there with his then girlfriend Kathy Etchingham for £30 (RM163) a week and later described it as “the only home he ever had”.
