Felda's director-general says good human resource management and financial systems are the ingredients that make the scheme one to emulate.
Felda's origin and roots can be traced back to Malaysia’s pre-independence days when it was set up under the Land Development Ordinance 1956 to primarily develop lands (allocated by the state government) and conduct resettlement. This was, essentially, to eradicate poverty among the rural poor through crop cultivation and reduce the income disparity with the urban working class.
