When we moved to the Tropicana area seven years ago, the family was delighted to find a coffee shop in the vicinity serving our good old comfort food favourites. It was called Sun Ying Loong (SYL) in Dataran Sunway (the Sunway in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya – not the “other” one, Bandar Sunway).

It relocated a few doors down a couple of years ago and then late last year, the stall owners told me it was closing down on Dec 31!
