What’s round and tastes delicious? Food shaped like a ball, of course!
It’s hard for me to pass by a stall set up with a huge wok of boiling oil and paper-lined baskets filled with all manner of deep-fried fritters like cekodok (banana; also called jemput-jemput pisang, which despite its “inviting” name, doesn’t have quite the same pull) and cucur ubi kayu (tapioca) without salivating. But if I made a pitstop every time I came across these stalls, I would be as round as one of those ball-shaped kuih.
