So, Bruce Banner, the human alter-ego of the Hulk, and founding member of The Avengers, is dead.

Of course, his death doesn’t mean there is no more Hulk – there is currently a more ... awesome one in Amadeus Cho – but the passing of Bruce Banner certainly is a momentous event, and he deserved a better death than just an arrow through the head!
