How many times have you left home, only to spend the rest of the day wondering if you remembered to turn off the fan at home?
Thanks to KDK’s latest range of Nodoka ceiling fans, you now have the power to remotely turn off your fans even when you’re away from home.
KDK has recently introduced two new fans – the K15UC and K15YC – both of which are 150cm wide and feature a new generation direct current motor, as well as intelligent motor drive system (or IMDS) which can detect a faulty motor and faulty blades.
These fans are sold with a remote control with 10 pre-set speeds and have WiFi smart control, which allows you to operate the fans even when you are away from home.
You can also schedule functions or use the fan in reverse.
The fans are compatible with both Android 6.0 and iOS 12.0.
The KDK Ceiling Fan app, which you can download from the App Store or Google Play, enables you to operate the KDK Wi-Fi ceiling fans from anywhere, at any time by using your smart devices.
This app allows you to control up to eight ceiling fans when you are away from home, select fan speeds, as well as control LED lights.
The app gives you some measure of control when it comes to security, energy saving, health and comfort, as well as convenience.
The K15UC comes with four scene settings for LED lights, with different brightness and colour settings, so you can control the ambience in your rooms, according to whether you’re at work, dining in, relaxing or ready for bed. There is also a night light mode.
KDK has also upgraded their safety features, which now include a cut-off safety switch which will kick in before any abnormal wear and tear of the shafts and bolts take place.
The fans also are made with safety wires so the motor is securely fastened onto the ceiling hook to prevent it from falling if the fan motor were to detach from the pipe rod.
Safety plates have also been installed to prevent blades from getting bent out of shape, or from any other mishaps.
There’s more. Nodoka fans have a memory function which remembers the user’s last setting (fan speed or light setting) even when the wall switch is turned off, and will operate at the user’s most recent setting when turned on again.
There’s also a scheduling function on the fans, so you can turn on and off the fans to create an illusion that someone is in the house when your home is vacant to deter break-ins.
And if you find it difficult waking up every morning, why not schedule the lights to come on to wake you up naturally?
You can also set the fans to rotate in reverse, so it draws the cool air upward and circulates it around the room, creating a smoother air flow and more comfortable temperature.
When used in tandem with an air conditioner, this will help to maximise the cool air flow.
