A Japanese cake-maker has invented the cake in a can. Sold in branches in Hokkaido and Tokyo, the dessert has been so successful that it is already out of stock. However, it will soon be available in a cake can vending machine, but only in Japan.

After the Belgian beer ice pop and cauliflower camembert from California, here comes another intriguing culinary curiosity to get foodies drooling. Instead of being served in slices or bowls, this cake comes packaged in a surprising format: a transparent can.
