Stream the Tales of the Empire

Following the success of last year’s Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi, which featured short episodes focusing on Ahsoka and Count Dooku’s past, this ‘second season’ of sorts will focus on the Dark Side of the Force, and premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on May 4.

Set in different eras, Star Wars: Tales of the Empire is a six-episode journey into the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors on divergent paths.

After losing everything in the Clone Wars, young Morgan Elsbeth explores the expanding Imperial world on a path of vengeance, while former Jedi Barriss Offee navigates a rapidly changing galaxy. The choices they make will define their destinies.

Tales Of The Jedi was a unique look at the pasts of two very iconic characters in the franchise. While Barriss Offee and Morgan Elsbeth haven’t quite reached that sort of status, they WERE some of the more complex and nuanced characters in some of the later Star Wars releases, so this should be worth the watch for die-hard Star Wars fans.

Watch The Phantom Menace in cinemas again

In conjunction with the 25th anniversary of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, GSC will be re-releasing the movie in selected cinemas on May 4. There is also a special fan screening at Aurum TRX, but tickets for that have been selling out fast at the time of writing.

Still, no matter what you think of the prequels, this would still be a great opportunity to rewatch the ‘Duel Of Fates’ ligthsaber battle between Darth Maul, Qui-Gonn Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Yippee!
