Are Prada and Adidas teaming up on a capsule collection?

For the moment the two brands have not disclosed any information on their new partnership beyond the publication of an image, showing two shoe boxes – one Adidas and one Adidas Originals – in a large white Prada bag.

This news is likely to delight many fashion lovers. Italian house Prada looks to be about to embark on a collaboration with sportswear brand Adidas for a collection of... shoes. This is apparently the logic behind the image that has simultaneously been published by the two brands on Instagram.

A major comeback for sneakers and 1990s looks on catwalks has projected certain sportswear makers into the limelight and allowed others to join in multiple collaborations with ready-to-wear designers and brands. However, given that it involves not just any label but the Prada luxury house, this latest news is nonetheless likely to cause quite a stir.
