Today, Dior officially announced that Jimin is one of its global ambassadors.

Jimin has had a long relationship with Dior. Together with the rest of the BTS members, his association with the French fashion house dates back to 2019.

He is one of seven members of the BTS boyband, which also includes RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V and Jungkook.

Dior announced Jimin's appointment on Instagram to much fanfare.

"The house is thrilled to announce Jimin from BTS as new Dior global ambassador," reads the statement.

"Pictured here in a colorful look from Dior Summer 2023, the singer is now lending his image to creations from Artistic Director of Dior men’s collections, Kim Jones."

Back in 2019, Dior's menswear designer Kim Jones designed the stage outfits for the group’s "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" world tour.

Dior has worked with another famous K-pop star in the past. Blackpink's Jisoo was previously named global fashion and beauty ambassador.
