A lot goes into the researching and portraying of a particular role for a film or series, and actors spend months preparing to immerse themselves in these characters for as long as it takes to get the project done.

After the show wraps up, these stars often choose to honour their roles by incorporating style elements into their red carpet looks at premieres and press tours.

Check out how these actors paid tribute to the characters they played through their ensembles.

Ocean vibes

Premieres and press tours for the live action version of The Little Mermaid are underway, and breakout star Halle Bailey has been rocking in on the red carpet.

Turning up in various ocean-inspired looks, the young star recently wore a shimmering blue custom gown by Valdrin Sahiti to the film’s Los Angeles premiere.

All dolled up

Margot Robbie is serving pure chic meets cutesy on the campaign trail the upcoming Barbie film, where she stars as the title character.

At the recent CinemaCon event in Las Vegas, Robbie donned a two-piece pink Prada look, paired with a pair of pink heels, in true Barbie style.

Perfect in pink

Anya Taylor-Joy played an animated character for The Super Mario Bros Movie, and decided to show up in pink as a tribute to Princess Peach at the Los Angeles premiere.

Donning a pink leather Dior jumpsuit, paired with matching gloves and boots, her eye-catching look was a combination of fun and flashy.

Gothic style

Jenna Ortega’s portrayal of Wednesday Addams made the Netflix show a big hit, and she continues to appear in character at many a red carpet.

Infusing gothic elements into all her outfits, she recently knocked it out of the park at the Met Gala, in a black and white look with gold chains and pearls, which was also a nod to the late Karl Lagerfeld. – Nasa Maria Entaban
