Toi See Luon, the older brother of renowned Malaysian fashion designer Datuk Zang Toi, died on Wednesday (July 12) from stomach cancer. He was 64 years old.

See Luon played a large part in running Zang Toi's boutique here in Malaysia, and had a hand in managing several collections and shows for the House Of Toi in Kuala Lumpur.

When contacted, Zang Toi said that he was simply heartbroken.

"He is my big brother, my best friend and my biggest fan," Zang Toi conveyed over the phone.

The New York-based designer also shared several photos of his late brother, shot together with him and family.

Zang Toi was only 20 years old when he first landed in New York City to study fashion. After making a name for himself, he founded his atelier House Of Toi there.

Yet, he has never forgotten Malaysia and his family.

See Luon's funeral service will take place tomorrow (July 15) at Xiao En Centre, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
