V of BTS is the latest member of the Cartier family. It has been announced that the K-pop star is now the face of the jewellery brand’s new Panthere De Cartier campaign.

With this appointment, V (Kim Tae-hyung) joins the ranks of other Asian stars – the likes of Jisoo of Blackpink, Chinese actress Gong Li and Jackson Wang of Got7 – as Cartier's diverse ambassadors.

It also further solidifies his standing as a fashion icon. He is already the brand ambassador for French luxury fashion brand Celine.

In the Cartier campaign, V can be seen wearing pieces from the iconic Panthere jewellery collection: a sculptural diamond ring, panther bracelet and the Revelation D’une Panthere watch.

As a member of the BTS boyband, V is known the world over. He is celebrated for his singing and dancing skills.

He debuted with BTS in 2013. He has since released three solo tracks under their name: Stigma in 2016, Singularity in 2018, and Inner Child in 2020.

Yet, V is also recognised for his songwriting abilities, namely songs such as 4 O’Clock, Scenery, Winter Bear and Blue & Grey.

“When it came to embodying the magnetism and aura of the panther, our choice naturally fell on V," D’Arnaud Carrez, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Cartier, said in a press statement.

"He has the look and strength of character. [He is a] personality whose choices are guided by creativity as a dancer, musician, or art lover, with this style and elegance that belong only to him.”
