Gone are the days of elaborate, sophisticated nail art, because this season is all about single-colour nail polish, and not just any colour of nail polish.

Influencers and celebrities around the world now swear by "blueberry milk nails", a milky, pastel blue shade that's the only way to go this summer.

Sofia Richie Grainge, Kate Hudson and Zendaya are already hooked!

Manicures tend to span seasons, but as summer approaches, new trends and inspirations generally multiply at speed, always with something new to offer.

This year is no exception, with one shade in particular that stands out from the crowd: "blueberry milk".

This is a very pale, milky blue colour that's both discreet and original – a great combo for the summer season.

Many celebrities have already succumbed to this pale, fruity hue.

Kate Hudson, for example, sported milky blue nails during Paris Couture Week at the Giorgio Armani Prive show.

Zendaya wore this nail colour for the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2024 men's show, while Sofia Richie Grainge and Dua Lipa showed off the shade on Instagram.

The list of "blueberry milk" lovers is long, and it's not limited to celebrities.

In fact, the two main hashtags associated with this trend have already gained almost 10 million views on TikTok.

The advantage here is that you don't have to mix up your own concoction to obtain the coveted shade.

You can simply buy it at the store – what could be simpler?

Many nail polish brands now sell the shade, even if it's not marketed under the exact name.

As can be seen on social networks, the colour varies slightly from one brand to another, although the basic idea is always the same – it's a milky blue hue that adds a colorful touch to any outfit.

Of course, you can also opt for variations to stand out from the crowd.

For example, you could try two or three fully painted nails, then finish the rest in a French manicure style with the famous blue instead of the traditional white.

And if this trend isn't your thing, you can always turn to the nail looks seen earlier in the year, starting with candy pink colours – thank you, Barbie – "coquette nails", inspired by the world of Bridgerton, or even "swirl nails". – AFP Relaxnews
