Art of time

The Art of Time 2023 exhibition by Swiss Watch at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

SWISS Watch launched the ninth edition of its signature event – Art of Time – with an elegant cocktail soiree at the Malaysian capital’s premier retail landmark, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The anticipated event is a display of watchmaking excellence and shared passion for precision, among the participating watchmakers.

Kuala Lumpur’s ultimate timepiece exhibition delivers an immersive showcase of some of the world’s finest timepieces, featuring six historical maisons – Bell & Ross, Breitling, Bvlgari, Grand Seiko, Tudor and Zenith.

On top of that, the horology showcase features a specially curated presentation of timepieces from brands such as Bovet, Raidillon 55, Piaget, Reservoir and Speake-Marin. All horology masters in their own right, these watchmakers will showcase their expertise through their display of special editions and novelties.

Embodying that same passion for precision are photographers with the skill to capture the right moment at the right time. Whether it is documenting travel stories, capturing the finest detail or perfecting architectural photography, three talented photographers – Annice Lyn, David Yeow and Patrick Teow – demonstrate the passion for precision in their individual way through their respective works. Don’t miss the chance to view their works at Art of Time 2023.

Art of Time transformed Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s concourse area into a 3,500sq ft gallery of masterpieces, a magnificent watch playground.

Guests from Corporate Malaysia, high society, brand partners, key media figures and friends as well as fans of Swiss Watch attended the grand launch hosted by Valiram executive directors Datuk Sharan, Ashvin and Mukesh Valiram.

To kick off the evening in spectacular fashion, a band brought the evening to live with their 20-minute performance as guests arrived and strolled through the watch galleries admiring spectacular timepieces.

Then, amid the electric music of DJ Ira, guests discovered noteworthy pieces such as the Zenith Defy 21 Chroma II, Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Patrouille de France 70th Anniversary, and Grand Seiko SLGC001 Tentagraph, to name a few.

Guests were also guided into gaining a deeper understanding of Bovet’s excellence in incorporating métiers d’art into its timepieces, besides the synergy between technical sophistication and aesthetic refinement with Bvlgari. They also discovered Breitling’s ties to aviation and witnessed how Tudor sets a new standard for affordable luxury.

Art of Time debuted in 2011 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Swiss Watch.

Accompanying the exhibition, which ends tomorrow (Oct 22), at Pavilion’s centre court are interactive workshops where visitors can participate on selected days.
